Another wonderful out-of-print CD is the 1990 self-titled release from HINDU LOVE GODS.
Its WARREN ZEVON on vocals and guitar, with R.E.M.'s PETER BUCK, MIKE MILLS, and BILL BERRY, doing ten covers from folks like ROBERT JOHNSON, WILLIE DIXON, WOODY GUTHRIE, and PRINCE. Just a bunch of guys having a good time playing some music they enjoy - how did this ever get released in the first place?
My personal favorites here are the Prince classic "Raspberry Beret", and "Battleship Chains", the TERRY ANDERSON song made famous by GEORGIA SATELLITES.
