"Mick Jagger Tells Torrid Tattoo Tales"
Another fun issue of CREEM, and another fun JAGGER interview. In this, the January 1982 issue, Mick is interviewed by RAY BONICI. Ray asks a bit about "Tatoo You", and we learn that PETE TOWNSHEND did some vocals on "Slave" and that "Heaven" is not about JOHN LENNON.
Mick talks about filming "Fitzcarraldo", and how he's trying to produce a film of GORE VIDAL's book "Kalki". Now where have I heard that before? Oh, right, here, and also here.
In ROBERT CHRISTGAU's "Christgau Consumer Guide", "Tatoo You" gets an "A-", and MAX ROMEO's "Holding Out My Love To You" (co-produced by KEITH RICHARDS, click here for more) gets a "B-".
Also in this issue, a review of MARIANNE FAITHFULL's "Dangerous Acquaintances", JOHN ENTWISTLE's "Too Late The Hero", and articles on STRAY CATS, IAN HUNTER, DEVO, and plenty more!
And, as usual, you can click on the images to enlarge.
P.S. I'll wrap up the "Sticky Covers" tomorrow.
