A few things...

Here are a few things I picked up around the blogs recently.

The first one is from the "Fab Forgeries" series, now available at DOWN IN THE GROOVE. Its "I Saw Her Standing There", combining the live ELTON JOHN and JOHN LENNON version from 1974 with a live PAUL MCCARTNEY version. Sounds great, it really rocks. And of course John (and Elton) sings "how could I dance..." while Paul sings "she wouldn't dance...", just like when THE BEATLES did it live!

Next up is the STARS ON 45 "Beatles Medley" from 1981. This is a good one to download, if only just to confirm that its still as annoying today as it was back then.

And finally, we have an ex-Beatle covering THE ROLLING STONES. Its THE PETE BEST COMBO with their mid-sixties cover of "Off The Hook". Pretty good!
